Oh, hello there! My name is Jason Andrews. I’m a composer, songwriter and guitarist.
Over the last several months I’ve been looking for musicians all around Lakeland, FL and the Polk County Area. So far I’ve come up with 0 (zero) musicians that actually want to dedicate any time into anything. Then suddenly I get an e-mail from a band in Tampa. The leader is a great songwriter. He really has a knack for it and I hope we can actually work together. He’s progressed a lot from the songs his written and seems to have a similar interest as me. Maybe it’ll work out. The point is: Never give up! Never. On a side note I’ll be working on some maintenance for my Music Blog and Resource, Octave Box. After that posts will be more frequent on here.
Over the last few months I’ve been working to get a band started. It seems that there are a lot of musicians in Lakeland but none with the time or dedication to actually play. At first I was just looking to play some covers to get back into it. Had a good group of people. Now I’m just looking for a few like-minded musicians who want to write good music. It seems to be a long process but if I hold out enough I’ll be able to find the right people!
